    4(a) + 2(b) = 74
    a+b=30

    4(30-b)+2(b)=74
    120-4b+2b=74
    120-74=4b-2b
    2b=46
    b=23 (Chickens)

    Solve for a
    4(a)+2(30-a)=74
    4a+60-2a=74
    4a-2a=74-60
    2a=14
    a=7 (cows)

Difference between A simple friend and A real friend

A simple friend, when visiting, acts like a guest. A real friend opens your refrigerator and helps himself (and doesn't feel even the least bit weird shutting your 'beer/Pepsi drawer' with her foot!) A simple friend has never seen you cry. A real friend has sh oulders soggy from your tears. A simple friend doesn't know your parents' first names. A real friend has their phone numbers in his address book.
