Each year, Science’s editors choose a singular scientific achievement as Breakthrough of the Year. Past winners have included the discovery of the Higgs boson, cancer immunotherapy, and the first quantum machine. This year’s winner captured the world’s attention and reminded us of the immense scope of human scientific accomplishment—as well as how far we have yet to go. Apparently, after three decades of leading the smartphone ecosystem, the introduction of Lumia 830 flagship may be the last smartphone to wear the iconic Nokia logo. One thing is certain. For most people, food clothes and shelter are most priorities of life. You worry about these things because their absence dehumanizes a being and denigrates standard living. But for those, particularly, living in Lagos metropolis, these, are ironically, not far fetched. No matter how poor, in Lagos, one must feed. There is food for all categories of people.
